Last May 25th at the LIUC headquarters – Cattaneo University of Castellanza (VA), FIMI Automation, as part of the Automatic Fundamentals Course, held a seminar for students attending the second year of the Three-year Degree Course in Management Engineering, which had as its theme “Automation systems in industry 5.0.”.

A new way for students who attend this automation course to approach teaching, to make them passionate about the real industrial application of what is explained during the course and at the same time to involve companies in their training.

This is why FIMIGroup, which has always been attentive to these initiatives and proud to be able to make its own contribution, very favorably welcomed the opportunity proposed by the teachers Maddalena Aime and Fernanda Strozzi, making its resources available for a videoconference which lasted throughout the morning.

The FIMI team made up of Maddalena Aime (Sales Manager of FIMIGroup), Marco Pagliari (COO) and Maria Cristina Folino (Planning and Control Engineer) touched on various aspects, starting from the FIMI company structure, to its products (with a focus on cutting lines slitter), to the business processes of FIMI Automation, to the basic concepts of industrial automation, also considering the application to anthropomorphic and Cartesian robots, up to the presentation of the latest trends linked to industry 4.0 and 5.0. The focus of the seminar was not only the presentation of automation in the industrial field but above all the concept of the role of the management engineer within a reality of automation and machine construction and the job opportunities that can be offered relating to what has been learned from the students studying Management Engineering.
