The group
An important Italian industrial hub, FIMIGroup ranks among the top three companies in the world for the quality of its products and completeness of its services.
It consists of 3 divisions, Machinery, Service and Automation, some foreign offices and over the years has perfected multiple acquisitions of important companies in the steel industry, such as: Sa.Mo, Sacma, Selema, Viganò International, Franci and Adda Fer.
FIMI MACHINERY
FIMI Machinery designs, manufactures and installs complete Cut to Length Lines, Slitting and Trimming Lines, Rewinding and Inspection, sheet and slit coils packing solutions. And further, Processing lines and special machines for Aluminium, lines for Electro-welded Tube production, for Finishing Tube and for open profile production.
The lines designed by FIMI Machinery process a wide range of materials, ferrous and non-ferrous, such as steel, ultra and high-strength steel, stainless and pre-painted as well as aluminium, copper and brass.
Our plants are mainly addressed to service centres for coil processing and final users such as the automotive and domestic industries, just to mention a few.
FIMI SERVICE
Fimi Service is the FIMI’s division which operates in the field of manufacture, maintenance, revamping, mechanical assemblies’ transformation, lines for steel mills, coils processing lines, tube lines and internal handling plants.
Second hand or unproductive plants are completely refurbished and equipped with automatism and advanced electronic systems with the aim of increasing their production capacity, extend their lifetime, preserve their value throughout the time and increase the quality of the products manufactured.
FIMI AUTOMATION
FIMI Automation was born from the acquisition by FIMIGroup of two companies that have been engaged for years in the design and manufacture of automation systems for metal industry: Trestelle Srl and L.A.E.B. Srl.
The integration of these two structures has given rise to a reality of about 30 employees, who operate in the headquarter in Barzanò (Lc), integrating skills, experiences and technical capabilities.

FIMI SHANGHAI
Founded in 1997 as a representative office, it became a real business unit in 2006 on an area of approximately 1.000 m2. 15 employees are involved in sales, production and after-sales activities for the Asian market.
FIMI GmbH
Established in 2017 to meet the needs of the German and, more generally, of the Northern European market, it is the operating division able to guarantee timely and efficient intervention in an area with a high concentration of installed FIMI plants.
FIMI SWISS
Since 2018 it is a representative office located in the centre of Lugano, which focuses on the Eastern European market, providing strategic support for sales and assistance of plants.
FIMI INDIA
Founded in Bombay in 2022, it was designed to pursue FIMI’s strategy of customer proximity, support and loyalty in the Asian area, where the presence of FIMI plants is really considerable.

This acquisition enables FIMIGroup to increase its product and service offering in the following areas:

Selema
Italian company founded in 1980 and leader in the design and manufacture of plants for strip treatment of non-ferrous materials, with particular focus on Aluminium. The thicknesses processed by Selema’s plants are in the range 10 µm – 4 mm for the whole variety of treated alloys.
Sacma
Historical Italian manufacturer of coil processing machines (slitting lines, cut to length lines, packing lines and rewinding lines). For around 50 years, Sacma has been manufacturing and installing more than 420 lines to meet the sheet metal cutting needs of various production industries.
Adda Fer
Adda Fer, an Italian company specialised in the design and manufacture of plants for Electro-welded Tubes production and Tube Finishing. A consolidate know-how allows the company to focus its activity on new equipment “tailor-made” according to customers’ needs.
Sa.Mo.
SA.MO, company specialised in the design and manufacture of Slitting Lines and their packing systems. In 1988, a partnership began that led SA.MO being acquired by FIMI in 2010.
